- Build prototype in v0
- Connect GitHub or upload code directly to Catalyst Slate
- Deploy!
From vibe-coded prototype to production-ready app
v0 helps you turn a prompt into a quick prototype, but, to actually put that app in front of customers, you need infrastructure that can handle real traffic.
Catalyst Slate gives your front-end application a production-ready home. It plugs straight into GitHub for effortless deploys, supports custom domains, and brings the full power of Catalyst's stack, so there's no need to piece together separate tools.

Prerequisites
Before you start, you'll need:
- A v0 account
- A GitHub account
- A Catalyst account
- A v0 project ready to go
Prompt in v0
Open v0, describe the app you have in mind, and let it generate your first version.

Connect v0 to GitHub
Go to Settings.

Go to the GitHub tab and connect a repo.

You'll now see your repo listed in GitHub.

Deploy on Catalyst Slate
Sign in to the Catalyst console and open an existing project or create a new one.

Head to the Catalyst Slate section and click Start Exploring.

Connect your GitHub account to Catalyst Slate.

Click on Add Account.

After you authorize Catalyst to access your GitHub account and verify it using your email address, you're ready to deploy your app on Catalyst Slate!

Fill in the deployment details and hit Deploy. You can also enable auto-deploy to keep the live app in sync with your repository.
You can also deploy by importing code from any public repo or by uploading the build zip file. Just download the code from v0 and directly upload it in Catalyst Slate, as shown in the image below.

Update your v0 app after deployment
You can easily edit code in your GitHub repo or in v0 via prompts. The changes will be synced to the other service, and Catalyst Slate will automatically deploy the changes!
Edit code in your IDE and push updates
- Once your v0 app is connected to your GitHub repository, you can pull the code from the connected repo, make changes, and push commits back.
- v0 updates the site right away. If those commits land on the deployment branch with auto-deploy on, Catalyst Slate pushes them live automatically.
Edit code in v0
- You can edit code inside v0 itself.
- When v0 makes changes, it creates and pushes a new commit to the configured GitHub branch. With auto-deploy enabled on the deployment branch, Catalyst Slate will automatically deploy the changes to your production site.
Add a custom domain
You can add your custom domain to the deployed app. Go to the Overview page and click on Add Domain.

You just need to add your domain and verify your ownership of it. Then, you're good to go!
