Now, let's kickoff our Meet the Makers interview! Today, we have the pleasure of chatting with Nagarajan from Zitraar Technologies, a coding maverick who has built an exceptional application using Catalyst. Let's jump right into the conversation, and learn from his incredible journey.

Q1. Hi, Nagarajan! Can you give us a sneak peek into your world? How did Catalyst find its way into your toolkit?

Nagarajan: Hey, folks! I'm Nagarajan, the Head of Zit-Mart at Zitraar Technologies. I'm an enthusiast who loves weaving solutions through code. In my Zoho Partner journey, I mainly dabbled in low-code solutions. But as we ventured into more complex requirements, we needed something robust, and we sought to incorporate a pro-code platform. Our search led us to Catalyst. Its versatility caught our eye, making it the go-to for handling bigger and trickier projects, especially developing robust and scalable solutions within the Zoho ecosystem. Now, we're proud Catalyst Partners, using its powers to whip up innovative and reliable solutions.

Q2. Awesome! Tell us about your Catalyst-built project. What puzzle were you trying to solve?

Nagarajan: We're right in the thick of crafting a unified customer portal using Catalyst, stitching together various Zoho products. And here's the kicker—it's not just for the web; it's for Android and iOS, too. Thanks to Catalyst's Flutter SDK, developing applications for multiple platforms alongside a web interface is now a walk in the park. Wrestling with REST APIs and juggling mobile platforms is a thing of the past!

Q3. What Catalyst features or tools are your secret weapon in your development adventure?

Nagarajan: There's a lot to love, but let's shout out to the MVP: serverless.

Q4. Every journey has its challenges. What were yours, and how did Catalyst help overcome them?

Nagarajan: There were some curveballs. For example, we encountered challenges when connecting multiple applications through Catalyst. However, by leveraging connectors and serverless capabilities, we successfully addressed many of the API challenges, making the overall integration process smoother than ever.

Q5. Nice! Now, how's the overall developer experience with Catalyst? Any standout features?

Nagarajan: The one standout feature that continues to impress is the platform's versatility. It lets our devs roll with their coding styles while ensuring scalability and performance. Documentation is often a make-or-break factor, and in this regard, Zoho Catalyst Shines.

Q6. Let's talk impact! How has your project influenced your target audience or users?

Nagarajan: We're still in the thick of it, working on a Flutter app for one of our products and a client's project. So far, Catalyst looks like a long-term winner. Once it's all done, the user experience will get a major boost for our client, meaning big wins for their business.

Q7. Looking back, are there any big lessons learned or things you'd do differently?

Nagarajan: Looking back, we have no major regrets. But here's a little tip: don't over-complicate things by overlooking something, meaning be aware of all the functionalities in Catalyst to design and build an effective solution.

Q8. You're part of the Catalyst community, right? How do you engage with fellow developers, and what's in it for you?

Nagarajan: Absolutely! We're active in the Catalyst community, soaking up insights and tossing around innovative ideas. It's been a goldmine for understanding Catalyst better and sparking some ingenious solution ideas. Expect more contributions from us in this lively community.

Q9. What do you do to take a break from coding?

Nagarajan: A quick walk for fresh air, a cup of coffee, and a bit of gaming, too. Perfect cooldown.

Q10. Finally, what advice or words of encouragement would you offer to fellow developers who are considering or just starting to explore Catalyst for their own projects?

Nagarajan: For new folks, don't overthink it. Just dive in. Catalyst lays it all out clearly, and you'll enjoy building a solid solution.
